Privacy notice

What we collect

When you send an order request or check out:

• Your name, email address and (if you give it) phone number.
• Your shipping address.
• What you ordered, the totals, and any note you add.
• The date and time, and the IP address the order came from (used to prevent fraud and abuse).

When you use the contact form: your name, email address and message.

When you write a product review: your rating, title and review, your first name and (if you give it) last initial, and your email address. Approved reviews are shown publicly with your first name and last initial only. Your email address is never shown: we use it to check whether you bought the product (for the "Verified buyer" badge) and to contact you about your review. We also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address to stop spam.

We do not ask for your date of birth. You confirm that you are 21 or older with a checkbox.

Card payments

Card details are entered only on our payment processor’s secure hosted page or hosted card fields, and go straight to them. Hemp Tips never receives, sees or stores your full card number. We receive a confirmation of the payment (such as a transaction number and status).

Online card payments are not open yet. When they are, we will name our payment processor here.

Cookies and storage on your device

We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The site uses:

• One security cookie (named "__Host-csrf") that protects our forms from being submitted by other websites. It holds a random value and no personal information.
• Your browser’s local storage to remember your cart ("ht-cart": product codes and quantities) and, when the age check is on, that you confirmed you are 21 or older ("ht-age-ok").

You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. Clearing them empties your cart.

How we use your information

• To fill and ship your order, and to email you about it (including the payment request).
• To answer your messages.
• To check and publish product reviews you send us.
• To prevent fraud and abuse of the site, and to confirm buyers are 21 or older.
• To keep the business records the law requires.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services we need to run the store, and only what they need:

• Our payment processor, to take your payment.
• The shipping carrier, to deliver your parcel (name and address).
• Our website host (Cloudflare) and our email providers, which store and send our messages.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep contact messages only as long as we need them to answer you. We keep reviews while they are on the site (or, if not published, only as long as we need to check them); ask us any time to remove yours.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hemptips@gmail.com. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires it.

Adults only

Our store is for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21; if you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site uses HTTPS everywhere, strict browser security settings, and limits who can see order information. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.

Changes

If we change this notice, we update the date at the top of this page.
